Messiah - Part One

This hour-long production of the Advent or Prophecy section of "MESSIAH" will comprise the morning service; the pastor says this is a "A sermon in song" and there will not be a spoken sermon, scriptural readings, or other aspects of the liturgy; only "MESSIAH."

Advent 2010 Musical Schedule

The following schedule has been decided for the inaugural season of Thursday noontime recitals during Advent 2010:

• Thursday, December 2nd: Roger Roszell, organ recital
  (Organist and Director of Music, Faith Lutheran Church)
• Thursday, December 9th: Dr. Joseph Holt, piano recital
  (Artist in Residence at Faith Lutheran Church and Artistic Director of "Gloria Musicae")
• Thursday, December 16th: Cynthia Roberts-Greene, organ recital
  (Organist and director of Music, Siesta Key Chapel and of Temple Emanu-El)
• Thursday, December 23rd: Dr. Warren Apple, organ recital
  (Organist and director of Music Ministries, Venice Presbyterian Church)

All noon recitals will be a half-hour in duration, and are free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be received. People wishing to perform on the 2011 Lenten series should contact the church music office soon. Any questions, please call the church music office: 924-4664.
